Christian is a member of the American Society of Cinematographers, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences, the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, the Visual Effects Society and others.

Raised in Munich, Germany, his first serious exposure to the film industry was as a trainee at the Bavaria Studios and Lab in Munich. He spent time in every department, including the visual effects unit, gaining experience that later served him well on many effects-heavy projects.

He has compiled more than thirtyfive feature film credits and has also photographed well over one hundred television episodes (seventyfour for ‘CSI: Crime Scene Investigation’), many music videos, network promos, commercials, TV movies and documentaries.

In 2010 he received a Primetime EMMY Award and an ASC nomination for his work on ‘CSI: Crime Scene Investigation’, as well as the 2010 Kodak Vision Award for Outstanding Achievements in Cinematography. Past awards include a Silver Clio, Art Director’s Club Gold and others.

Christian’s work as a Director of Photography has taken him to many European countries, as well as Asia, Africa, Canada, Mexico and all over the United States.
