Christian is a member of the American Society of Cinematographers, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences, the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, the Visual Effects Society and others.

Raised in Munich, Germany (EU Passport), his first serious exposure to the film industry was as a trainee at the Bavaria Studios and Lab in Munich. He spent time in every department, including the visual effects unit, gaining experience that later served him well on many effects-heavy projects.

He has compiled more than thirty five feature film credits, and has also photographed over 140 television episodes (over 90 for Jerry Bruckheimer TV, over 13 for Shondaland), many music videos, network promos, commercials, TV movies and documentaries.

In 2010 he received a Primetime EMMY Award and an ASC nomination for his work on ‘CSI: Crime Scene Investigation’, as well as the 2010 Kodak Vision Award for Outstanding Achievements in Cinematography. Past awards include a Silver Clio, Art Director’s Club Gold and others.

Christian’s work as a Director of Photography has taken him to many European countries, as well as Asia, Africa, Canada, Mexico and all over the United States.
